What's the first thing you log for a new animal?

Every time a new animal comes home, I catch myself doing the same thing: before I even think about a feeding schedule, I'm hunting for a pen to write down where it came from and what it weighed. Old habits. Lately it's been one of my cresties getting the full record treatment from day one.

So I'm curious how it goes for you. When a new animal lands in your Animals Workspace, what's the first thing you add, whether that's a weight, a tag, a source, or something I haven't thought of? And if you're just getting started, what would you like to know others set up right away?
