What does feeding day look like for your leos?

Jenn-HPCommunity Manager

I keep one leopard gecko, and feeding day has turned into a little routine for me. Bugs get fed, dusting happens, and then I stand there watching her decide whether she's actually hungry. Every keeper I talk to seems to do it a bit differently, which is half the fun.

So what does yours look like? Tell us what you feed, how you gut load and dust, and how you keep track of it all (notebook, spreadsheet, memory, whatever works). Beginners and breeders both welcome, because the simple setups are often the smartest ones.

Hi Jenn! I actually am new to leopard geckos, recently rescued two from Facebook Marketplace. I've learned a lot already, but would love to know any tips, tricks, or pointers. The two I have are allegedly female (yet to make it to the vet for confirmation).

I attempted a feeding last night with one of the little ladies, and she seems absolutely not interested. I tried appropriately-sized crickets, and while I know it's a treat, I even tried tempting her with a wax worm, to no avail.

I'm not new to animals (reptiles or mammals) and I'm a firm believer that a healthy animal will eat when hungry, but it does worry me when I attempt a feeding with a new animal and they don't seem motivated or interested.
